I thought it was particularly interesting when he related writing to his brief stint with watercolors. He said that writing for him was like screen captures that then started to move and animate themselves. I almost felt like that was how he wrote the scenery for The Magic Poker. We got a screenshot of the mansion and then its windows were breaking and the weeds were becoming over grown. The piano was pristine and then its paint was peeling and its strings were snapping.
